Chicago native, Chance the Rapper, first caught the attention of the music aged 18 with the release of his mixtape 10 Day, which lead to Complex magazine's "10 New Chicago Rappers to Watch Out For." His second mixtape, Acid Rap, was released in 2013 to high praise from music critics and fans alike. The record debuted at number 63 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums due to bootleg downloads on iTunes and Amazon, and was listed on multiple 50 best albums of 2013 lists, including 26th for Rolling Stone, 12th on Pitchfork's list, and ranked 4th by Complex. In May 2016, Chance the Rapper released his third mixtape, Coloring Book, to further critical acclaim.
