Steven Ellison, better known as Flying Lotus (or sometimes FlyLo) is a Los Angeles-hailing, critically acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, DJ, rapper and electronic music producer. His most recent and fifth album, “You’re Dead!” earned Flying Lotus a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording for “Never Catch Me,” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Fusing elements of jazz, hip hop and electronica, it is possibly his most diverse album yet, described by AllMusic as “exceptionally progressive, stirring, and eternal art."
A band formed while the members were still in school together, Little Dragon are on tour with their brand new album “Season High”. “We have grown through the years but the making of this album has been a struggle,” vocalist Yukimi admitted, when asked about the process behind the new record. “As much as our band is based on a deep friendship we are four strong wills who find it really frustrating to compromise. We have gotten better at that though…The magic feeling that sounds can sprinkle over any boring day is what got us all hooked.”
