It's time to relive the days of teenage angst and jangly guitars as two noughties alt-rock greats, Modest Mouse & Brand New touch down at Greek Theatre Berkeley on Thursday 28th July! The bands have joined up for a 24-city stint throughout July, with Modest Mouse promoting their most recent LP Strangers to Ourselves, and talk of a new Brand New album on the way, fans can look forward to plenty of new material from these epic bands!
Formed in Long Island in 2000 from the ashes of post-hardcore band The Rookie Lot, Brand New are an alternative rock band. Signed to Triple Crown Records, they released Your Favorite Weapon, their debut studio album, in 2001. Their big break came with 2003's gold-certified album Déjà Entendu, which gained popularity with its singles "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" and "Sic Transit Gloria… Glory Fades". Subsequent albums The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me and Daisy were well received, and the band has been working on new material for some time, so who knows what 2016 will hold for them…
