Solange comes to Greek Theatre Berkeley on Sunday 22nd October 2017 for a second night, performing songs from her number one album A Seat At The Table! Joined by the Sun Ra Arekstra, Flying Lotus (in 3D), Earl Sweatshirt and Chassol (respectively) in what she calls “the lineup of my actual dreams,” Solo will be bringing fans a high-octane show like no other!
American singer, songwriter, dancer, model and actress Solange is also known for being the younger sister of singer Beyonce, beginning her career in the music industry as a backup dancer for Destiny's Child, before signing with her father Mathew Knowles's Music World Entertainment label. Solange released her debut album Solo Star in 2002, with her second studio album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, coming six years later and peaking at number 9 on the US Billboard 200. She had her first US number 1 with her third studio album A Seat at the Table (2016), launching the single "Cranes in the Sky", which won the Grammy for Best R&B Performance.
