THE GOOD MOURNING SUNSHINE TOUR

Well, Good Mourning Sunshine! Before you start the day, do know that FOSTER THE PEOPLE’S just-announced ‘THE GOOD MOURNING TOUR’ is selling out real fast. In support of their recent album “Paradise State of Mind” and their run of big hits, the band looks forward to celebrating music and community on tour. Led by Mark Foster and Isom Innis, this trek is bound to raise the bar in the band’s history of pumped-up concerts. From “Pumped Up Kicks” to “Houdini,” and “Lost in Space” to “Chasing Low Vibrations,” you’re in for a wild night of their very best.

Goth Babe will be joining as the special guest for this night at Berkeley, along with several other tour dates.

THE BIG HITS

They got people running wild as their debut album “Torches” came out in 2011. Gaining massive acclaim and international fame, the band owed it all to their smash hit single “Pumped Up Kicks.” A crossover hit that broke out in the third spot of the Billboard Hot 100, Foster The People was on a roll, scoring three Grammy nominations for the track. Their LP also shared some of their most iconic singles “Helena Beat” and “Houdini.”

Their succeeding albums “Supermodel,” “Sacred Hearts Club,” and their most recent release, “Paradise State of Mind,” all proved their heart for magical indie-pop records. Every album shared their growth and musical evolution. It’s always a step forward with Foster The People.

IT’S A PARADISE STATE OF MIND

“Paradise State of Mind is a refreshing modern offering from the LA-duo, their numbers may have dwindled by half, but their sound is bigger than ever,” wrote Lana Williams of The Line of Best Fit.

“The album is not without its lyrical meditations on sadness and emotionally dark places, but overall, it’s a joyful blend of varied instrumentation, dance-floor beats, and catchy hooks. It’s all about balance – in life as in music,” said Chad Liffmann of Spinning Platters.

Okay, what’s the fuzz all about? Well, the band’s fourth studio LP is critically acclaimed, being one of their best bodies of work yet. Receiving glowing reviews from the likes of Billboard, NME, AP News, Forbes, Clash Magazine, and Consequence, the record with elements of disco, funk, gospel, and jazz—influenced from the late 70s and 80s sound, definitely stands out in the streaming era today.
