The Greek Theatre serves as the perfect venue due to its spacious amphitheater setup, which accommodates a large crowd of enthusiastic students, alumni, and fans.

The highlight of the rally is the reading of “The Spirit of California,” a brief reflection on Cal spirit written by Ken Raust, a 1981 graduate of UC Berkeley. This tradition, which began in 1985, adds a meaningful and nostalgic touch to the rally, connecting past and present generations of Cal Bears.
