Interpol comes to Greek Theatre Berkeley on Saturday 30th April 2022 as the hi music band is set to make a return to the stage after almost four years. The performance is part of their upcoming North American & European tour. The 27 date trek begins on 25th April in Dallas, Texas, with the last U.S show on 21st May in Los Angeles. With new music in the works, fans are excited about their upcoming tour and cannot wait to get their hands on the tickets. Tycho and Mathew Dear will support them as openers on U.S dates and Dry Cleaning will be supporting Interpol on their show in Mexico City. Interpol’ 2019 tour was highly successful that celebrated their 2018 album, Marauder. They completely sold out the Peru stadium in November 2019, a massive venue. They now preparing to release their seventh studio album and fans can expect to hear plenty of new music on the upcoming tour. Daniel Kessler talked about the album as to how it will create a connection between the audience and the band once its played on stage. He said, “There’s going to be a deep mutual appreciation”.
Interpol began their musical journey as an American rock band in 1997 from Manhattan, New York. Their breakthrough year was 2002, when they released their debut album, Turn On The Bright Lights. The album received critical acclaim and peaked at number 10 on NME’s list of top albums of the year. It was also Pitchfork’s No.1 album of the year. The band produces a mix of staccato bass and rhythm with harmonized guitar and a snare-heavy mix. Each band member contributes to songwriting, and their on-stage energy is unmatchable.
