Greek Theatre - U.C. Berkeley
OOOOO, Berkeley babes and music fans all across the city - it’s FINALLY the summer time, so it’s time to stop being so Young Dumb and Broke and time to start getting back out there for the best shows of the year - right here in the middle of Greek Theatre, right here with the crew and all our new besties! SO - send me your LOCATION, it’s time for Khalid to come and play!
YEP - our late 2010s king from the Eastside who Loves Lies - is back from his six year hiatus and hitting our stage here in Berkeley at the Greek for a one night show. Right here on Friday June 26th - right here for me you and the whole crew!
Tickets are on sale NOW and starting at $116 for the night’s lesson in Free Spirit transformations. Y’all know what to do - we can’t see you! Right here on the south side!
Berkeley babes, Bay Area besties - and everyone who’s ever screamed “SEND MEEEEE… yOOOour location!” at 2AM when we all could’ve sworn this dude’s voice had a British twang to it. Gather ‘round friends, because Khalid is coming to town and we GOTTA Talk about it. After what feels like a forever hiatus from publicly releasing music, Khalid is BACK and bringing us his 2026 It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour - and we’re all invited to the show! Pulling up to the Berkeley Theatre on Thursday, the 26th, and yes… we are already emotionally unwell about it so don’t ask how this makes us feel. We’re welcoming back Khalid for a perfect night - sunsets mixed in with soft synths. Big feelings plastered all over the crowds and in our faces, and a little community scream-sesh that’ll heal ALL our inner teenagers as we’re growing up in real time with Khalid as the leader. With Lauv opening this show and a summer Friday in store, there’s no telling how it will go - but can we agree it’s a double-header on FEELS?! Absolutely.
So let’s talk history for a sec - because maybe you know Khalid, but do you really KNOW him?! Born in Georgia but raised in Texas, he went from dropping tracks on SoundCloud in high school to becoming the voice of a whole era before he could legally order a drink. His debut album American Teen (2017) charred all over Billboard, sure - but the most important thing is that it rewired the pop-R&B landscape from the peak Drake era to something smoother, with songs like “Location,” “Young Dumb & Broke,” and that soft-focus, desert dry drive vibe that defined the last decade. Then came the Grammy nominations, the collabs with Billie Eilish, Normani, Pink, Marshmello, Calvin Harris, and breaking all the barriers across the R&B landscape. Free Spirit shot him into global superstardom, and now he’s stepping into his boldest chapter yet with after the sun goes down, an album soaked in shimmers of pop nostalgia, self-discovery, and those late-night melodies that just… hit. And THAT folks is why we need to see the album on tour, right here as one of the ONLY 25 stops on this North America express bus across the country with Khalid, right here for me you and the crew!
SO - I think we all know what to do. Grab your crew, your situationship or your boo, some tissues, and whoever has your location in your phone right at this moment. ‘Cause Khalid drops down on June 26th, so y’all know the energy we need for this one. Sunset hitting, it’s time to get warm again with Khalid’s smiling face. We’ll see you soon - right here in the middle of Berkeley!
