This Scottish born, singer-songwriter and musician is coming straight to the Greek Theatre in Berkley, California on Sunday, May 3rd for his Spring Tour that is bound to be a night you will remember for years.
He came to realise he had a love for music at the early age of 4 whilst on a family trip in France, he learnt how to play the guitar when he was 9 and soon after that he began writing songs and playing gigs in pubs by sneaking in with the help of his eldest brother. He was discovered by his manager when he was 16 by an iPhone recording that was recorded in his bedroom and was uploaded to SoundCloud. Ryan Walter, the manager then flew from America to Britain to hear him play live the following day after hearing the recordings. He released his first song “Bruises” in 2017 which quickly gained over 28 Million views on spotify which made him the fastest unassigned artist to reach 25 million plays on the platform. During his tour in 2019 with Bastille, his song, “Someone You Loved” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This song went on to receive Grammy nominations. Lewis Capaldi also became the first artist to sell out an arena before the album was even released and the shows sold out within one second from the tickets becoming available, which is just absolutely insane!
Parking can sometimes be a headache but luckily there are multiple parking options nearby which are a brisk walk away from the theatre. You can find parking at a few locations for example, the Upper Hearst Structure, the Stadium Parking garage, the Lower Spraul Lot and a few other places to make your day more convenient. The theatre is laid out in the same way that the ancient Greek Theatre of Epidaurus and is becoming the number one outdoor theatre to watch some of the biggest names in music which is where Lewis Capaldi fits in perfectly.
