That’s cause on Thursday, April 16, 2026, that magic is BACK as Royel Otis take over the stage with very special guests STRFKR for a night of all the indie feels and back to back cheers from us and the guys right next to us all night long. In the middle of April and the middle of Spring, this show lands right in the heart of Royel Otis’ FIRST full-scale North American headlining tour, and it’s a massive milestone for the Sydney-bred duo. So whether you’re new to the group but a weekend warrior here at the Greek, or you’re just looking for an affordable show with a new band that might end up being your new discover weekly treat - don’t worry y’all, we sooo got you covered. 

Formed in 2019 by Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic, the band has gone from DIY beginnings to global buzz in the blink of an eye - so we WON’T blame you if this is your first time hearing about them and all that jazz. Their jangly guitars and crazy hooks are so golden coast coded - and that same dreamy sun-faded sound has made them one of indie music’s most exciting new exports. Viral covers, breakout originals all on Tiktok, packed festival sets in the down under have been building toward moments like this, and we’re so glad to have you here for it! And while they’ve played California before, this Berkeley date feels like a level-up: bigger stage, bigger crowd, bigger moment. Joining them is STRFKR, indie royalty in their own right. Formed in Portland and active for nearly two decades, STRFKR have mastered the art of making emotional, introspective music that still feels euphoric and communal. Known for songs that turn entire crowds into one glowing, dancing organism, they bring a seasoned, synth-soaked energy that perfectly complements Royel Otis’ fresh, guitar-driven cool. It’s the kind of pairing that feels intentional - nostalgia meets what’s next, and we get to see it all live like a new age battle of the bands, what a tret!
